SLC Agrícola, one of Brazil's largest grain and fiber producers, was looking for a solution to produce more, with lower climate impact and under new market rules.

The partnership

In 2022, SLC and Fluere began a pioneering project to turn environmental data into strategic decisions. Building on Cerensa's experience (an ESG platform established in highly demanding sectors such as oil & gas and energy), a spin-off specialized in climate intelligence for agribusiness was created.

The solution

With Fluere Carbon, SLC gained:

  • Data integration: automatic capture via APIs, a centralized data lake and 99% automation.
  • Full traceability: granularity by crop, field, season and hectare.
  • Continuous updates: automatic alignment with revisions of the GHG Protocol, SBTi FLAG and other methodologies.
  • Advanced scientific modeling: application of a biogeochemical model developed in Colorado and adapted to the Brazilian Cerrado, simulating future scenarios and assessing carbon dynamics under different conditions.
